We had such a special Easter this year. Grammy sent the boys a package and they were so excited to receive it and open it. They each got a video. Henry's was about construction equipment and he would not put it down. He even slept with it in his bed that night!
We told the story of the resurrection each week in family night for about 3 weeks before Easter Sunday. In the end, I think William and Henry had a pretty good understanding of what the holiday is about. William even recounted the story back to us one Monday! He did such a good job. We were pretty impressed that he had actually retained what we had taught him.
On Easter Sunday, Nathan cancelled most of his meetings. It was amazing!! It was so fun to spend the whole day as a family.
William asked for weeks about chocolate bunnies. He would point them out to every store we saw one in. Luck would have it that the Easter Bunny brought him one! He had a few bites on Sunday and then ate the whole thing the next day. He was so happy to get one!

The boys waiting to go down the stairs and see what the Easter bunny brought.
They each got a transformer toy that they were super excited about.

We had a really incredible church meeting. The Bishopric spoke in Sacrament meeting on the Atonement and all did very well. For the third hour, the ward gathered again and all of the ward council leaders shared a personal experience with the Atonement in their lives. It was really spiritual and fulfilling. Perfect for Easter! Later that afternoon we had a feast with some really good friends. We had jello eggs, peeps chick cupcakes, deviled eggs, bunny rolls (A pinterest flop that looked more like pigs in the end. Haha!), ham, etc. Such a fun weekend! Happy Easter!
