Christmas in Arizona

We spent Christmas in Arizona this year. We got there on Christmas Eve and had a really great family party that night. It was so fun to see everyone again! We had dinner, acted out the nativity, and had a little talent show. My favorite part was William and Robyn dancing and singing to "You Don't Know You're Beautiful" while Anna and Claire accompanied them on the cello and piano. It was fantastic!! I'm so happy that I got it on video.

The boys were so happy to see their toys on Christmas morning. Bunny and Didn came over to open presents with us. Henry opened up his construction vehicle set and gasped with excitement as he said "Wow!" It was really cute. Nathan surprised me with a plane ticket to visit Amanda. I was shocked and very excited. It was really thoughtful of him.

On Christmas night we went over to have dinner with the Monks and open presents with them. William found a music box that sang "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" and started singing the song. He did such a good job that Grandma let him take the special music toy home with him.

William and Henry's favorite part of the trip was playing in Grammy's house and backyard. She got a firetruck powerwheel for them to play with when we visit. They LOVED it! William is a decent driver, too. She also gave William some fireman boots, which he did not take off for the whole trip.

Nathan and I had lots of fun going to the Phoenix Suns' game with my dad and Grandpa. We were sad to see them lose with a last second buzzer beater. It was exciting though.

We also had a really great time at the traditional Die Hard party and going to the McCormick Train Park with the Shields' family. I'm still working on getting those pictures.
Before we went home we got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Monk. We went to the tennis courts to try out the new tennis rackets that they gave the boys. William really enjoyed tennis and he was pretty good at it. We are looking into him playing more. We are glad we got to see and spend time with so many family members. Merry Christmas and on to 2013!
