Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning was so special! William and Henry were up around 7:30 and ready to open presents. We let Carter sleep in. They were super excited about all of their gifts.

Carter was thrilled with his choo-choos!

Later in the afternoon, we had a great phone call with Jordan in Argentina and then went up north for dinner and more gift exchanges with the cousins. All the kids were thrilled when Elmo made his appearance to tell the children good night!

It was such a great Christmas! Unfortunately, our family was plagued with strep throat again over the Christmas break! William got it first just as school was ending. His temperature was the highest I have ever seen with any of our kids- it was between 104-105 degrees. The first antibiotic didn't help him at all, so we took him in for a second time over the weekend. While I was at the doctor's office, Nathan sent me a text saying that Henry was complaining of a sore throat and had a rash. When I got home, Nathan took Henry and Carter in and they both had it! However, they were given the wrong dosage of antibiotic so the strep came back a few days later for Carter, and a week later for Henry. Nathan wasn't feeling well, so he went in for a strep test 2 days after Henry and Carter and he had it as well. It was a nasty bug! I felt very blessed to avoid it this go around! We needed at least one healthy person to keep life running.
