William's 4th Birthday!

This year we decided to throw a friend birthday party for William. He has lots of great friends in our neighborhood and we wanted him to have the chance to have a party with them. The theme was wild animals. Amanda made really cute invitations for us. We had tons of kids come! We did lots of fun things. We started out by coloring animal masks. Then, we had some real animals come. We got to see and hold a turtle, 2 snakes, a blue tongued skink, and a bearded dragon. Nathan was even brave enough to hold the 5 and a half foot boa constrictor.

Instead of bringing presents for William, we invited guests to bring a toy to donate to Primary Children's Hospital. We will always have a special place in our heart for that hospital and how it helps children. William spent 5 weeks there when he was a baby and we thought it would be a great way to give back to the hospital and celebrate William. William was excited about it. I showed him pictures of when he was a patient there and then we went to the store and he picked out some baby items for the babies there. We are so grateful for our generous friends and all they brought to donate to Primary's! Henry found a box of cars amongst the donations and carried it around for the whole party. We caught him with 5 different pairs of scissors in his hand trying to open it! Silly, determined little boy!

The kids all devoured the food. I guess we made good choices of what to serve!

After the animal show, the kids pretended to be elephants and searched for peanuts in the grass.

 Brooks, William, and Seabass

Henry was absolutely filthy by the end of the party! Like the rest of the children, he helped himself to all the food and loved it!

We did let William open his presents from us at the party so he still got to open something. All in all, we had a great time! William is still talking about how much fun he had and how cool the snakes were!

At 4 years old William is 41 inches tall  (72nd percentile) and 35.7 pounds (53rd percentile).

William's still talking about the cool snakes. Translation: he wants to move to texas! We've found two in our yard this summer. We can put them in a cage & give them to you:) looks like such a fun party, with lots of kids!! I love the fun theme (minus the snakes of course) & I love how you executed it, even down to your shirt. Lol. Happy birthday, Billy!!
