Silly Brothers

Here's an update on what our crazy boys are up to.
William: William loves building things right now. They have started finishing the townhomes right in front of ours. Every day William wakes up and wants to build something like the construction workers. He loves to build houses and boats. We go to music class once a week and he loves it! He is really into make believe. Sometimes before bedtime he prefers to play or act out a story instead of reading books. He is learning/recognizing more of the scripture stories. Right now he really likes to be the "bad guy" when we act out things. One of his favorite scripture characters to be is Laban! Oh dear.

Henry: Henry loves to be the instigator. He loves to laugh and run around with William. He has all sorts of crazy ideas that William follows too. One day I caught him at the top of the stairs squatting, getting ready to jump. Luckily, I talked him out of it as I ran towards him. He is a dare devil and a pretty tough boy. He loves music class, too. He really loves cars and trucks. He loves to see them when we're on the road. When we put him in the car he is always trying to sneak up to the front seat and pretend to drive.

William and Henry have so much fun together. They are constantly laughing at each other. They have started to ask if they can sleep together in the same room. I always say yes with the warning that if they start to play together or keep each other awake then they have to be separated. I don't think they have made it more than 10 minutes together. They immediately start laughing, playing, talking, etc. It's pretty cute.
The other day Henry was in his room crying and William was downstairs listening to him on the baby monitor. William picked up the monitor and said into it "Hemi! Hemi! Tell me what's wrong!" Then, he turned to me and said "I'm pretending like it's a phone and he can talk to me." I'm so glad they have so much fun together, even if they are completely crazy most of the time.

My mom came to visit for a weekend in February to help out with the boys and we had some funny stories while she was here.

One night William was having a hard time going to sleep and staying in his bed. He had come into our room and we told him once again to get back in his bed. As he was walking back to his bed, my mom came out of her room to see if she could help. William gave her the most hilarious lecture that went something like this: "No Grammy. You have to get back in your bed. Yeah. That's what they just told me. So, go get back in your bed and don't come out again. Just go to sleep. You need to stay in your bed." It was so funny!

We all went to Grandma Cookies' house for Sunday dinner. She has a playroom that the boys love. We were sitting at the table and we heard Henry crying really hard. William walked into the dining room and Nathan went to see what was wrong with Henry in the playroom. We asked William what was wrong with Henry and he said "I locked him in jail!!" He had locked Henry in the playroom and Henry was completely hysterical. We couldn't unlock the door from the outside, so we had to take off the door knob. It took most of the family around 15 minutes to finally free Henry. Poor kid. He was pretty upset.

One night we were watching tv in the basement and Henry found my yardstick. He raised it up (like he was getting ready to hit something) and started walking towards the tv. My mom said to me "You know that's not a good idea, right?" Haha!

The day my mom was getting ready to leave William went to the bathroom by himself (like he does several times a day) but when he came out he told me (with a big smile on his face) that he had been playing with the toilet paper. I walked into the bathroom and found that he had emptied the entire roll of toilet paper into the toilet. Needless to say, he got a big lecture about how that was not a good idea, and how he almost broke the toilet and how playing with toilet paper is not fun. I had William put on rubber gloves and take all the wet toilet paper out and put it in a garbage bag. While he was doing this I said "See. Is this fun?" And he replied "Yeah. Kinda."  At some point during the clean up process, William ran into the bathroom and flushed the toilet before I could stop him. The toilet water then began to rise to the top of the bowl and almost overflowed. After a new plunger, bailing water, and lots of lysol wipes we got it under control.

We are really so grateful that she took time off of work to come and help us. It was much needed and much appreciated!

On this Sunday the boys wanted their picture taken with the kitty.

They love to go up the stairs on Daddy's toes.
