This summer we spent a full week at Grandpa and Grandma Monk's Colorado home. They were kind enough to invite the Bleak family to come, too. We did a ton of fun things. On Sunday we celebrated William's and Jordan's birthdays. We ate dinner outside and it was just beautiful. We also went to the Durango Recreational Center and went swimming, played basketball, played racquetball, climbed a rock wall, and ate lunch. We also took day trips to Silverton and Ouray, went horseback riding, roasted marshmellows, and found some time to sneak in a game of hand and foot. Bryan asked if William needed a jacket to go outside. I told him where to find one and he came down dressed in Henry's jacket. Silly Bryan and William!
William looked so funny in it.
Henry loved getting passed around until he passed out!
William had so much fun playing with Grandma Monk. They played Play-Dough together and made snakes, rocks, pancakes, cookies, and on and on.

One of my favorite things we did was to visit the town of Ouray. It is called the Switzerland of America because of the mountains that surround it. It is an amazing town. We had ice cream there and then swam in the hot springs in the rain until we saw lightning.
Aunt Amanda loved to make Jello Gigglers with Grandma when she was young. So, I thought the tradition should continue. Grandma taught William how to make them and he loved it! He thinks Jello is one of the most delicious foods ever, so he was very excited. (As I was posting this picture he said "Jello Digglers!!" and kept pointing at it.)
Nathan and I rode the Alpine Slide while everyone else took the scenic chair lift to the top of the mountain. Nathan flew down the slide faster than anyone else. I enjoyed the view at a leisurely pace. As I was coming around a corner a huge beaver popped it's head over the edge of the slide and scared me to death! It was crazy.
