Happy 4th of July!

We had a really fun 4th of July weekend! Nathan took an extra day of so we had 4 days together. On Friday we took William to the zoo. He loved all the animals and riding the carosel. When we got in the car to come home he said "zoo again," which means he loved it. On Saturday we got up early to go to the parade. When we got to Center St. we realized that the parade was scheduled for Monday, not Saturday. We should have checked it out, but we just assumed that since all the other festivities were on Saturday that the parade would be too. It worked out ok because the weather was so nice that morning. We got to enjoy the booths and the kids activities without a crowd and with cool weather.

They had a huge snake that you could pet! William thought it was pretty cool.

Later that afternoon we had a barbeque with the Bleak family and then we all went to watch fireworks.

On Monday we just hung out. We went to lunch and walked around the mall. At the mall Nathan asked me if I had any quarters. I said yes and gave him some. He said he really wanted a giant gumball from a vending machine. It was giant and it was pretty funny to watch him eat it! It's the little things that make him happy...

I can hear William saying with confidence in a matter of fact tone, "Zoo again." Cute boy! What fun festivities. I know that going to see Carrie would have topped it all off, though.:)
