Thanksgiving in Texas- Houston Part 2

For the last part of our Texas trip we went to stay with the Airds! We had so much fun with their family and their cute girls. Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) we went downtown to meet Amber's family for the Thanksgiving parade. When we were about half way there Henry threw up in the backseat. The poor baby! He was miserable and we didn't know what to do. We had taken several different freeways so we didn't feel confident that we could find our way back to Dan and Amber's house by ourselves. So we decided to just make the best of it. We cleaned Henry up when we got to the parade and he wore his own jacket as a shirt and William's jacket for pants. Luckily it wasn't too cold. The parade was lots of fun. Afterwards we went to Amber's parents house for dinner. Henry took a good nap while we ate. We washed his clothes and put them back on again when he woke up. He promptly threw up again all over them. Nathan and I packed up and went back to Dan and Amber's house and spent the rest of the day relaxing. Luckily, Henry was much better the next day and nobody else got sick!!

On Friday we went downtown to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It was awesome. We saw some really cool things. Our favorite exhibit was the gems and minerals. They had some incredible jewelry. We had a picnic at a park and then drove around Houston's impressive medical center. That night we had some more authentic Texas barbeque. It was so fun to put the kids to bed and play pinochle with Dan and Amber and hang out like old times.

When we finally made it back home we were pretty exhausted. It was a long trip, but it went by quickly since we spent it at 3 different homes. We LOVE visiting Texas. We have so many wonderful friends and family members there. Thank you for being such gracious hosts! We hope to go back soon :-).

Poor little Henry! In that first picture, he just looks so sick and miserable. What a great way to wrap up your visit to Texas with more fun in Houston. So, when are you guys moving here? :)

Oh yeah, I remember Amber and Dan! Amber was your roommate at Chatsworth right? Wasn't Dan a cousin of Nathan's? Such a nice couple. Fun you got to see them!

Poor Henry....He's such a trooper.
