Thanksgiving in Texas- Houston Part 1

After a few days in Austin, we drove back to Houston to stay with Karin and Mark. They were incredible hosts too! When our family in Arizona heard that we were gathering in Texas for Thanksgiving, a lot of them decided to come too! Bunny and Didn drove out. And Kim, Scott, Carson, Corinne, and Tara followed a few days later. William LOVED playing with my cousins. He played with them all the time and they were so nice to him. He still thinks that they are so cool. It's really cute. He wanted to do everything they did including going down the water slide by himself.

We love our cats! Karin's cats get whipped cream as a treat on the kitchen counter. I love it! This is Jimmer wanting some more.

We had a very delicious Thanksgiving dinner together! Bunny brought all of the beautiful table linens and decorations.

Henry getting a taste of Grammy's special whipped cream :-)

I was so happy that Didn brought his "special medicine." I loved this tradition growing up! He has a little container and when you tap on it, special medicine (aka M&Ms) appear in the cup. It's so fun and a really happy childhood memory for me and my cousins and now my children.

Cousin Hugs!

Kissing Cousins :)

I think this picture is hilarious! Amanda entitled it something like "a typical meal at the Myers' house." We always eat well when we're together!

The highlight of the trip for William were the hermit crabs at the Myers house. He was fascinated with them! Lindsey was so nice to entertain him with them. She showed him how to feed them, hold them, give them a bath, etc. He talked about them for weeks after we got back. He kept dumping toys out of bins and putting 5 marbles or balls in and pretending they were hermit crabs. It was so fun for him!

I love that there's a cat named Shauna. I also hope that Grammy's whipped cream isn't the same whipped cream the cat gets! Good job on getting things caught up--you're ahead of me :)

How fun to see the whole fam together! I am especially grateful that some essential holiday quirks were kept up :) such as Shauna giving out her whipped cream, Bunny bringing all the table decor (even to Texas-that's above and beyond), and Didn sharing his yummy medicine with the kids. Did Didn also tell the kids that green is red and blue is orange?
