Farewell to Oprah

On May 25, 2011 after 4,561 shows the Oprah Winfrey Show aired its final show. I really miss the show. She had a lot of uplifting topics that I really enjoyed over the years. It's a little bit cheesy, but these are some of Oprah's words of wisdom that have inspired me and I want to remember. These are my "A ha moments" from Oprah.

*Do what makes you happy. You are important and you have a purpose in life. You, alone, are enough. Everyone has a calling. The key to life is to find out what it is and to go to work on it. Use your callling to server the world. Everyone has a platform whether it be your family, friends, or a bigger one like Oprah.

*You have the light in you!

*Nobody but you is responsible for your own life.

*We block our own blessings if we don't feel worthy.

*Everyone wants validation. -Do you see me? -Do you hear me? -Does what I'm saying matter to you?

*"Be still and know that I am God." Listen and wait for what God has to tell you.

*Your life/God is speaking to you right now. What is He saying?

*When a child walks in the room does your face light up? What does your face reflect back to the child? What message are you sending to them?

*If someone is kidnapping you, never let them take you to the second location. If they take you somewhere else it will be more isolated and they will probably kill you and the chances of you escaping or someone finding you are slim. You are better off to fight with them where you are if you want to survive.

* When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time. -Mya Angelou

*When you know better, do better. -Mya Angelou

*When you can say thank you to God during the trial, you know your faith is strong. -Mya Angelou

*People CAN change.

*There are no coincidences, only acts of God.

*"You always had the power." -Glenda the Good Witch
In the words of Oprah, "until we meet again."

Oh Stephanie, this post made me laugh! Those are some very inspirational quotes, and then I got to the kidnapping one. Lol. At least our mother would be proud that stood out. I like the quote she has in her dressing room about how you are responsible for the energy you bring into the room. You need to get OWN! I started saving some behind the scenes shows for when you come visit. Lol
