Disneyland!!!

October 12, 2010

We had an amazing trip to Disneyland in October! It started out to be our family meeting Mark and Cami with their girls for a few days. It ended up being Mark and Cami and girls, Bunny and Didn, Grammy, Kim and Scott and family, and Amanda and Brian and Baby Lexi! We had so much fun with the gang. I have so many happy childhood memories from Disneyland trips and I am excited for my boys to have the same experience. We flew in Tuesday night and went to Disneyland and California Adventure on Wednesday. Since we had a huge group we moved very slowly, so we didn't do a lot. On Thursday we took a break and played at the beach. We also celebrated my birthday and Cami's birthday. We went back to Disneyland on Friday with just our family. Grammy met us for a few hours before driving home. We flew out Saturday morning!
William's favorite part was meeting all of the characters.

Pluto saying "hi" to Henry

Baby Lexi in outfit #1
I'm sad I didn't get a picture of her smiling. Lexi had approximately 4-5 differnt outfits during her 8 hours at Disneyland. It's a continual fashion show with her. It's pretty entertaining to see what outfit she's going to wear next. I was so excited to hear that Amanda was having a girl because I knew she would dress her up in so many cute outfits and that has definitely come true!

Buzz Lightyear was another highlight for William! He's probably William's favorite character and I'm so glad we got to see him!

One of the most memorable moments of his life thus far :-)

The gang on Pirates of the Carribean
We all got to ride together on 1 boat! It was so fun. Pirates was William's favorite ride. Go figure! He wasn't scared at all and he still sings the pirate song "Yo ho!"

The whole group at lunch

William and Robyn
They had so much fun playing together during the week.

Henry was a little angel during the trip!

We watched the Wonderful World of Color show and it was fantastic!

William enjoyed our birthday pies very much.

Day 2 at Disney

We really enjoyed Toon Town together.

For my birthday dinner we ate at the Blue Bayou (the restaurant in Pirate's). It was really fun. It just has such a neat atmosphere. We're glad Grammy came to join us for lunch.

This trip was such a wonderful experience! It was a lot of work to travel so much with 2 young children, but it was worth it! I hope we make this an annual tradition, although Nathan says we won't.

Oh that looks like so much fun. I think we will take our kids to Disneyland within the next two years. So fun.

That was such a fun trip! I'm so glad you're back to updating your blog again. I'd love to have this be an annual family tradition (assuming you meant extended family tradition lol). And I love your exaggerations about Lexi's wardrobe changes. But, come on, what girl doesn't like to play dress yup?!:) I can't wait for you to have a girl and you'll do the exact same thing!!
Looks like you guys had a great time!
Pirates has been my favorite ride since I was 3 years old and I used to sing that song all the time. :) Made me laugh that William does that.

Party at the happiest place on earth. That's amazing that Wills wasn't afraid of the characters--I'm not so sure how Megan would do...although I bet she'd love the princesses.
I have a great idea. Let's make sure neither of us are pregnant 3 years from now and take our families on a Disney cruise. Deal? So plan accordingly!

How fun! I love that you got so many fun pictures, especially with so many of the Disney characters. I am trying to talk Aaron into a trip to Disneyland and your post just remotivated me to try even harder. :)
